Bio

Tommy Sanders is an actor currently residing in Pittsburgh, PA where he is a senior BFA musical theatre major at Point Park University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts. Most recently, he played Brad Majors in The Carnegie’s production of The Rocky Horror Show, starring Dusty Ray Bottoms from RuPaul’s Drag Race. Tommy was awarded Broadway World Best Supporting Actor for Majors.

Recent credits include Little Shop of Horrors (Seymour Krelborn) at Middletown Lyric Theatre, Steel Pier (Luke Adams), Newsies (Jack U/S, Swing), the original musical Period Piece (Patrick-Hugh Birdie) at Point Park University, Cinderella (Ensemble), Footloose (Bickle/Dance Ensemble) at Cincinnati Landmark Productions, and A Charlie Brown Christmas (Charlie Brown). At Point Park, Tommy studied under Zeva Barzell and received private voice training with professor and vocal technician Giovanna Reyes-Mir. His dance training includes Jazz, Ballet, Modern, and Tap.

Tommy is also a versatile theatre artist who enjoys every part of the creative process. Outside of performing, he has worked as a Director (select credits: Amélie, The Drowsy Chaperone, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown), Set Designer, and Scenic Painter.
